Seasons

Dear Friend,

I was glad to read your email. I always love seeing friends thrive and embrace what life gives while grieving losses.

To answer your question, what I am letting go of this season is faith and hope that things will get better. While I grieve these things, I know grief needs to have an ending point so I can start choosing to live. But some unexpected gifts and blessings now include a roof over my head, the existence of Facebook Marketplace to find cheap stuff, my space heater because I like warmer temperatures, owning my shower curtain due to my OCD about not using mine, kind strangers, friends I don’t deserve, and my rice cooker to make cooking rice easier.

I am down as I write this because I don’t want to let faith and hope go.

All my love,

Maia
